LX and Sport models come with a 7.0-inch digital instrument cluster display alongside a 7.0-inch touchscreen for infotainment. Although wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, EX-L buyers get a 9.0-inch touch display with wireless smartphone mirroring. That top trim also adds a wireless charging pad and eight-speaker audio instead of the six-speaker setup on other trims.
How Sporty Is the 2025 Honda HR-V Sport?
Although the 2025 Honda HR-V Sport looks like a plucky lifted hatchback, it doesn’t receive any extra power beyond the base model’s 158 hp. Cosmetically, Honda differentiates the HR-V Sport from other versions of the subcompact SUV with trim-exclusive gloss black alloy wheels, gloss black side mirrors with integrated turn signals, a gloss black roofline spoiler, black lug nuts, a chrome exhaust finisher, and a trim-specific grille. These visual touches are complemented by an impressive range of premium features, including heated seats, remote engine start, and keyless entry with automatic locking. Sport may not be the most apt name for the HR-V trim that slots between the base LX model and the top EX-L grade, but we think this is the coolest-looking spec of Honda’s subcompact SUV.
Which 2025 Honda HR-V Trim Level Is Best?
Between the LX, Sport, and EX-L variants of the HR-V, we typically recommend an EX-L with FWD, which starts under $31,000. That way you get the improved infotainment experience, premium audio, and leather upholstery. You’ll also get better fuel economy and likely a marginal performance benefit from the FWD arrangement. Plus, you'll still spend less than you would on a base CR-V.
