When performance and style are of the utmost importance, Jaguar offers the F-Pace luxury compact SUV. Changes are minimal for 2024, but slight styling refinements and tech enhancements should add appeal to this sleek ute. The 2024 Jaguar F-Pace competes with the BMW X3, Genesis GV70, and Mercedes-Benz GLC-Class.

What We Think
The Jaguar F-Pace is a solid choice for luxury SUV shoppers who love to drive. Although the base turbocharged four-cylinder engine isn't very notable, the mid-level model makes use of a turbocharged and electric supercharged inline-six with mild hybrid assistance. We've found this variant to be downright thrilling. Stepping all the way up to the F-Pace SVR equips a supercharged V-8 that's destined to go down in history as one of the all-time great engines.
We appreciate that the F-Pace is more than a one-trick feline, as its interior design still looks fresh from a major 2021 model year update. Not only does the new cabin benefit from modern, premium materials, the Pivi Pro infotainment software is an improvement over Jaguar's discontinued user interface.
Still, the F-Pace has some flaws that hold it back from running with the best of the segment. Although the infotainment display uses modern graphics, it isn't as easy to navigate as we'd like. Base pricing exceeds that of rivals, and adding options costs a small fortune.
When the updated Jaguar F-Pace competed in our SUV of the Year competition, it was overshadowed by the luxurious and value-focused Genesis GV70. Those attracted to this cat's design and nimble handling, however, will find exactly what they want.
Performance and MPGs
Jaguar offers the F-Pace with three engines, but all models make use of an eight-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive. The entry-level F-Pace P250 has a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine developing 247 hp and 269 lb-ft of torque. Jaguar claims its compact SUV accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in 6.9 seconds. The EPA rates this configuration at 22/27 mpg city/highway.
Stepping up to the P400 model yields a turbocharged and electrically supercharged inline-six engine with mild hybrid assistance. This powertrain churns out 395 hp and 406 lb-ft of torque. In our testing, a Jaguar F-Pace equipped with this engine accelerated from 0 to 60 mph in 5.9 seconds. The EPA's rating sits at 19/25 mpg.
The F-Pace SVR is the top-flight model in the range. Its outrageous supercharged 5.0-liter V-8 engine, designated as P550, develops 542 hp and 516 lb-ft of torque. Its 0-60-mph sprint occurs in just 3.8 seconds. The F-Pace SVR's high performance is reflected in its poor fuel economy; the EPA reports just 15/21 mpg.
Jaguar F-Pace SVR: Fast Cat
With a top speed of 178 mph, the Jaguar F-Pace SVR is one rapid SUV. Fortunately, it has other upgrades to complement its high-speed proclivities: bigger brakes, an active electronic differential, torque vectoring by braking, adaptive suspension damping, sticky low-profile summer tires, and selectable drive modes. Needless to say, the F-Pace SVR is our pick of the F-Type range if confronted with a twisty backroad or a grand touring adventure.
Safety Features
The Jaguar F-Pace comes with several standard active driver assistance features. The list includes automatic emergency braking, blind-spot assistance, driver condition monitoring, lane keeping assistance, front and rear parking sensors, rear traffic monitoring, and traffic sign assistance. Adaptive cruise control is standard across the entire range. A 360-degree camera view is standard on the F-Pace SVR.
Cargo Space and Interior Room
The F-Pace's cabin is on the larger side of the luxury compact SUV segment. With the rear seats flipped down, cargo space is downright voluminous.
Technology
Jaguar equips the entire 2024 F-Pace range with a standard 11.4-inch infotainment system featuring wireless Apple CarPlay and Android auto compatibility. A 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, wireless charging, and 12-speaker premium sound from Meridian are also equipped on every F-Pace. Other available tech includes a Wi-Fi hot spot and a head-up display.
Recommended Trim
The 2024 Jaguar F-Pace comes equipped at two trim levels: R-Dynamic S and SVR. Although the high-performance SVR model tugs at our heartstrings, it's hard to get around its $93,000-plus price tag. The powerful P400 powertrain outfitted on the R-Dynamic S trim still offers plenty of performance and outfits the F-Pace with nearly as many features as the range-topping variant. Equipped this way, the 2024 F-Pace P400 R-Dynamic S starts just under $68,000.
