2019 Honda Pilot Expert Review

The 2019 Honda Pilot may receive a minor refresh inside and out now that the current generation of the three-row crossover has been around for three model years. Retaining its 3.5-liter V-6, the 2019 Pilot could add a 10-speed automatic transmission option. After the experience we had with the nine-speed automatic in our long-term 2016 Pilot , we hope the new transmission is tuned well in the CUV, providing smooth performance no matter the driving situation.
A new Pilot hybrid variant could be on the way in the next couple years, too. Honda has confirmed its interest in offering a hybrid on its light-truck lineup, which includes the Pilot and Ridgeline.
