Touted as GMC's first crossover, the Acadia remains very much like the very first model launched in 2007. The three-row Acadia rolls into 2013

as a refreshed model, with revised styling inside and out.

Underpinned by the platform that also underpins the popular Chevrolet Traverse and Buick Enclave, the Acadia is solely powered by 3.6-liter V-6 that cranks out 288 hp and 270 lb-ft of torque. That power is sent to the front wheels (all-wheel drive is optional) via GM's six-speed automatic transmission that the brand says will offer "better shift response and improved drivability." Rated at 17/24 mpg city/highway for front-drive models, and 16/23 mpg for all-wheel-drive models, the Acadia is also capable with a maximum towing capacity of 5000 pounds. Available in five trim levels (SLE-1, SLE-2, SLT-1, SLT-2, and Denali), the entry level SLE-1 comes standard with 18-inch wheels, automatic headlights, blind-spot monitoring system, a rearview camera, rear parking sensors, keyless entry, rear air-conditioning controls, a tilt-and-telescoping leather-wrapped steering wheel, Bluetooth, and a 6.5-inch touch-screen display. GM's OnStar system is also standard with a six-month free service. OnStar can be used for emergency roadside service, remote vehicle locking and unlocking, and turn-by-turn navigation.

Enhancements for the refreshed 2013 Acadia include a bolder front end with LED daytime running lights. Higher-quality materials are also found inside, SLT and Denali models get an 8-way-power passenger seat.
