502-Inch Ford Big-Block Pump-Gas Stroker Makes 650 hp

A big-block Ford 460 was bored and stroked into this 502-inch track-ready mill. With a Comp solid-roller valvetrain and running on pump gas it made 650 hp and whole lot of torque.

HOT ROD Drag Week 2025 once again put the toughest street cars in the country to the test. Over five days and more than 600 miles, racers had to prove they could drive their cars on the street and still lay down serious numbers at the track. From six-second Unlimited cars to 10-second cruisers, the competition was stacked. In the end, Ned Dunphy’s 3,000-hp Dodge Viper was the best of the field, averaging 6.17 at 247 mph to set a new record and lock down the title of America’s Fastest Street Car.
