In the end, Ned Dunphy’s 3,000-hp Dodge Viper was the best of the field, averaging 6.17 at 247 mph to set a new record and lock down the title of America’s Fastest Street Car.

You'll immediately notice the wide look of period-correct IMSA bodywork from the late 1970s/early 1980s and a subtle but obvious reduction in the Trans Am's wheelbase, aided by a slammed stance and an arsenal of aero aids including some crafty and functional turbine wheel covers.
