Tesla Model 3 Highland vs. Toyota Prius Prime Spec Comparison

When discussing the future of the automobile there are those who are quick to spool up the doom and gloom, foreshadowing an Orwellian not-too-distant-future where we’re all trudging around town in engineless husks, but here at MotorTrend we don’t think that’s necessarily the case. We’ve been living in the golden age of internal combustion, especially when it comes to the V8. At no point in history have V-8 engines, and the cars and trucks they are in, been more powerful or efficient, or more suited for both work and play. In this documentary film we'll detail the V-8’s history before diving into the technology that makes modern V-8s both powerful and efficient. We’ll talk to the automakers who still endeavor to keep the spark alive amid legislative flux, and get into the future of the V8 and why we're so optimistic about it. We will tell the story of the V-8 - drawing on expert testimonials, badass visuals, and unparalleled access to automaker experts, racing mechanics, aftermarket leaders, and garage enthusiasts, to deliver an unapologetic love letter to the rumbling heart of automotive culture.

Built for just $17K, TreadWear creates an IMSA Camel GT race team that never was. Take one look at TredWear's "Translammed" 1977 Pontiac Trans Am and you'll be smitten. You'll immediately notice the wide look of period-correct IMSA bodywork from the late 1970s/early 1980s and a subtle but obvious reduction in the Trans Am's wheelbase, aided by a slammed stance and an arsenal of aero aids including some crafty and functional turbine wheel covers. Accompanying all these vintage-style mods is a tasty complement of sponsor graphics in the IMSA style that some will no doubt label as kitsch, but it's all in good fun and in the TredWear tradition of pulling at the heartstrings of those who fondly remember the era.
