Since the 1970 Dodge Charger starred in the first "The Fast and The Furious" movie, the Detroit automaker has supplied new and classic cars for each successive movie. Now, a new commercial for the 2015 Dodge Challenger R/T previews the action of "Furious 7," the upcoming final installment in the movie franchise.
After seeing a poster for the movie and gripping the steering wheel, a customer sitting in a Sublime Green 2015 Dodge Challenger R/T gets transported into "Furious 7." The man comes back to reality when a salesman walks up to him as he is hanging off the rear spoiler similar to a scene from the movie where Brian O'Conner (Paul Walker) does the same.
Several Dodge vehicles star in the latest installment, including a Candy Red 2015 Dodge Charger driven by Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel), a Sublime Green and Black 2015 Dodge Challenger R/T driven by Letty Ortiz (Michelle Rodriguez), and an armored 2015 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited driven by Tej Parker (Chris "Ludacris" Bridges). Additionally, nearly 30 Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) vehicles were used in the film.
FCA also provided vehicles for music videos from the "Furious 7: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack" album from Atlantic Records. The music videos feature cars such as the 707-hp Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat and Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat and 645-hp Dodge Viper GTS as well as other new and classic Dodge vehicles.
Dodge will also release a commercial for the 2015 Dodge Charger in the Middle East as well as a 2015 Jeep Wrangler commercial in other international markets.
