Aston Martin Launches Hot New Configurator, Lineup Updates for 2022
The British automaker says goodbye to Superleggera and AMR badges.Aston Martin just launched an all-new online configurator to improve the user experience for its customers, dealer partners, and fans from around the globe. Along with its newly enhanced configurator, where you can build the Aston of your dreams—for free—the British automaker has also announced updates across the lineup for the 2022 model year.
As an official Safety Car and Medical Car sponsor of Formula 1, Aston Martin has seen a high level of traffic to its website since the start of the 2021 season. The new configurator is an important step forward in the company's Project Horizon initiative, which strives to revamp the online car shopping experience. In 2020, Aston Martin sold 4,150 cars, with its configurator serving more than two million sessions, which the automaker expects to rise in 2021.
Designed to engage and excite, the overall performance of the new configurator streamlines the building process while making it more fun. Customers can configure their Aston Martin with an extensive selection of exterior paints, upholstery, and equipment options, as you'd expect. It goes above and beyond with its interactive component, powered by Epic Games' Unreal Engine, which allows buyers to zoom in on specific details and view their build in different 3D environments. At any point in the configuration process, customers can also book a test drive.
Through the configurator, customers can now customize the interior of their favorite Aston Martin model with three new trim environments. Beginning with Inspire, this theme is described as the epitome of luxury and offers the best of material and color choices. It features semi-aniline leather with perforation patterns, contrast stitching, and unique seat ornamentation. Inspire has 38 available upholstery colors offered in monotone or duotone combinations.
