#SSBattles Inline-6 Naturally Aspirated Warfare: MkIV Toyota Supra vs. RB25-Swapped Nissan S13
An uncommon naturally aspirated 2JZ with ITBs, or an all-motor RB25?Few engines in the import world carry as much weight as Toyota's JZ and Nissan's RB families, and as such they've often been compared to one another in heated debates, both sides well-armed with legions of fans and aficionados. Usually the two camps are focused on the turbocharged versions of these iconic inline-6 engine series, both of which have been built, rebuilt, stroked, swapped and taken to insanely high horsepower numbers with astronomical boost levels. In this instance, however, we're doing away with turbo versions entirely and focusing on two incredibly well-built naturally aspirated versions.
It's not a likely combo, and based on their outward appearance, you wouldn't expect that either of these builds would take the non-turbo route. It's a bold move and something entirely outside of the norm, which is probably why they chose to take the road less traveled and shake things up.

Brandon TaftSE - Complete feature:
Brandon Taft's '95 Supra SE started life without a set of turbos and that never really bothered him. Initially purchased due to its low mileage and clean interior, the plans didn't call for an all-out build, but as time went on that all changed. Updated multiple times over the years, the latest incarnation features a custom ITB set up, 6-1 equal-length exhaust manifold, Web 286-degree cams and a custom fuel setup that brings power output up to 280whp - similar to what you'd find from a stock 2JZ-GTE.
As clean and purposeful as the engine bay is, the rest of Brandon's Supra is also incredibly well done. The custom metal widebody conversion is seamless and helps house huge 18x10.5-inch +0 front and 18x12 -14 SSR Formula Aero Mesh wheels wrapped in meaty 265/295 Advan A052. The livery treatment is unmistakable and we're not sure what he's got planned to top this overall look, but you can bet it'll be turning heads once again when it happens.
