We know what is wrong before we even look at the problem. We know all of its noises, good and bad. However, there are also those who are new to the game, and may not be as knowledgeable about the inner workings of a Mustang. It takes time and experience to fully grasp a Mustang's quirks and idiosyncrasies.

Maximum Motorsports wants every Mustang owner to fully enjoy his/her car, and has introduced a line of tips, tricks, and products to help make that happen called "Good Handling is Fun." Obviously, Maximum Motorsports is in the business of improving your Mustang's handling so that's the focus on this line of tips and tricks. Maximum's first installment covers what defines "good handling." Those new to the Mustang market may think the handling of their car is great, when in reality, there are many things that can be done to make it even better. "From all our combined years of engineering and race experience, a good-handling car is one that does exactly what you want it to do," Maximum Motorsports says. For most, their Mustang's current handling exceeds their talent level, but in more capable hands, a car's limits are more evident. For the majority of Mustang owners, their car does exactly what they want it do.

However, having experienced Maximum Motorsports' suspension and drivetrain products in the past, the company has the components and systems to greatly improve your Mustang's handling and performance. The tips and tricks, and product outlines found in Maximum Motorsports' "Good Handling is Fun" series is aimed at educating Mustang enthusiasts on the best route to take in modifying their cars for greater performance. Instead of reading Dr. Seuss books as a child, I grew up with my nose in car magazines. My dad and uncles always had cool cars around, which further drove me to a career in the automotive field. T hough my dad and uncles very rarely had any Mustangs in the yard, I gravitated toward Fox Mustangs, since it is the must-have car of my generation.

I begged for an internship at then-Dobbs Publishing, and started May 19th, 1997 as an intern on Mopar Muscle. In September of that year I became an Associate Editor, holding that title on several magazines until I landed my ideal job at 5.0 Mustang and Super Fords in 1999.

My first Mustang was a '64 1/2 coupe with a Maverick 302 and a C4 in it. I had no idea that was the case when I bought the car, I just wanted a Mustang. I started to restore that car, but after my first ride in Fox Mustang that old car was sold right away. I've been through several Mustangs since, with my current ride being a 2001 Bullitt, and a Fox Mustang under construction.
