D1 Ladies League Driver Takes On Nikko Circuit

Sayaka Shimoda's future is bright in the drifting world

Like most motorsports, drifting is pretty much dominated by males. Go to any soukoukai and chances are it's going to be a sausage-fest, and the Car Modify Wonder Super Live event is basically no different. However, changes are happening and more and more we find talented female drivers on the come up, like Sayaka Shimoda. She's super kawaii but that doesn't mean she can't drive.

Sayaka competes in the D1 Ladies League (yes, that's a thing) with Mercury Auto's Nissan Silvia S15, and as you'll see in the video, she's pretty damn good! Since the Super Live event at Nikko Circuit was more of a track day than a competition, it was a good time for Sayaka and her mentor, Ken Sato, to train. Peep that laid-back style!
