Slow Motion Drift Compilation: Freedom Moves 2013
240 fps drift porn at Raceway Park, NJ0:00 / 0:00
The bi-annual Freedom Moves drift event at Raceway Park in Englishtown, NJ brings together a laidback grassroots atmosphere dedicated wholly to track time and getting sideways alongside fellow enthusiasts. This year brought out locals, pros and spectators to experience the wide-open excitement of open lapping and jaw jacking about all that encompasses smoking tires on a closed circuit.
Far from factory-backed slide machines, most of the cars featured in the video above were each built with blood, sweat and bins of used parts on an average Joe’s budget. Trunks full of replacement parts kept drivers mobile and spectators snapping photos during 12-hours of dedicated track time chaos.
Veterans came prepared juggling repairs and maintenance required when running all-out sideways over the course of an extended event. The hours of open track allowed us to capture a hard drive’s worth of footage featuring JDM platforms such as the always-popular Nissan S13/S14s and 350Zs along with BMWs and even a Pontiac Solstice.
Using a Sony FS700 camera at 240 fps, the slow motion drift compilation included is a portion of the most awesome solo slides and tandem drifts caught on camera. There is no arguing with the talent Freedom Moves 2013 featured. While the audio bliss of a naturally aspirated LS engine at redline or boosted RB and SR motor spooling can’t be heard in this video, the visuals make up for it. Enjoy!
