Being separated from the continental U.S., Hawaii and its wide array of high-caliber builds sometimes is forgotten, a literal ocean away from most peoples' consciousness—but not ours. Thanks to Redherringphotography, who currently resides in Hawaii, we're able to bring you a slew of build features from the islands, as well as the occasional car show—including Wekfest's 2024 visit.

Just like its Bay Area beginnings, Wekfest Hawaii started out in a multi-level parking garage before later making the move to Honolulu's Neal Blaisdell Community Center for a more favorable indoor experience. The venue serves as a hub for other indoor car shows, including Spocom's annual visit set to take place in August of this year.

As with previous Wekfest Hawaii visits, a mixed bag of builds—some leaning more toward style and accessorizing, and others favoring a more performance-minded agenda—filled the event center alongside the show's familiar vendor lineup that included some local businesses.

Attendees, both visitors and locals, were ecstatic about the annual show that brought out some debut builds and updated some well known regulars that serve as staples in the region's enthusiast circles. We've highlighted a few below and there's a gallery with more coverage attached showing some of what we saw during the set up process.

The next leg of the Wekfest tour takes place in Japan this May, followed by Seattle in June.

You might recall this H23A VTEC-swapped 1995 Accord was featured over a decade ago, and it still looks incredible, now rolling on classic Racing Hart C5 and with an Isuzu Aska grill and badge above the Inspection-branded bumper.

Why bring one Honda Accord wagon when you can bring two? @twentyfourkazoku also brought along his '94 wagon, a car that was stolen before being found, recovered, and completely reworked. This one also sits on C5s with cleared faces and a bright gold outer lip with matching center caps under custom flares. Under the hood is more H-power and inside, a pair of S2000 seats and steering wheel join a custom wood rear cargo floor.

You just knew that JZ Filth would bring a few showstoppers and it didn't disappoint. Its line up included formerSuper Streetfeature cars like Martin's MkIII Supra and Josh's IS300.

Also in its row was Dominic's clean JZX100 in deep green atop TE37SLs.

This Voltex-equipped Evo VIII on massive 18x10.5 AME TM02 wheels has quite the story behind it, which you can read all about right here.

Looking to maximize your K24 swap's output? A 4Piston Racing CNC'd head and Kinsler ITBs are an excellent start. We gave you a closer look at their head package applied to our K20 top end which you can view right here.
