Prepping for race day with Time Attack 1 & Electric Classes
Writer

With the 93rd annual Pikes Peak International Hill Climb race day Sunday June 28th, we have for you a massive gallery of images chronicling the practice day action that took place from Tuesday to Friday of this week. Located just outside of Colorado Springs, the dangerous 12.42 mile time attack starts entries 9,400ft up on a two-lane public road that ends at the 14,115ft summit. Racers battle thin air (hp killer), cliff-edge roadways, 156 corners and rapidly changing weather. Cajones of steel are required.

Practice began with a 3am drive to checkpoint start and concluded at 9am each weekday. Each day class group rotates to one of the three mountain sections designated by start, middle and top.The photos featured are heavily focused on the PPIHC Time Attack 1 and Electric class as the Super Street team was there to follow the Mackin Industries Scion Racing FR-S, built by Evasive Motorsports and driven by Robert Walker, which was running in Time Attack 1. You will also find some photos from the Exhibition and Open-Wheel class.
